EURACHEM, in cooperation with CITAC and EQALM, cordially invite members of the international analytical community to their 7th Workshop, which aims to emulate the successful workshops held previously. The Workshop is being organized by an internationally respected Scientific Committee and a Local Organizing Committee.

Location:
The Workshop will be held in Istanbul, a historic city where east meets west. The month of October is a pleasant time of the year to enjoy scenery and historic sites, some of which dates back 8000 years. There are good airline connections from most major international cities to Atatürk Airport, at the European side of the city. There is also a second international airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport which is in the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The Workshop will be held at Polat Renaissance Hotel (www.polatrenaissance.com) which is close to Atatürk Airport.

Technical Programme:
Four days will be devoted to Training Courses, Lectures, Short communications, Poster Sessions and Working Group discussions. The official language of the Workshop will be English. The Technical sessions will include both invited lectures, selected short communications and poster presentations. As in previous workshops, proposed abstracts will be subjected to approval by the Scientific Committee and amended where necessary to improve English expression. Invited lectures and accepted communications/posters will be considered for publication as full papers in a special issue of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (Springer Verlag), subjected to peer-review.

Training sessions:
Training sessions on “Establishing traceability and uncertainty of assigned values and assisting participants to assess/estimate their measurement uncertainty using PT results” will be held on Monday 03 Oct 2011, open to workshop participants only.

Registration fee: 100 €

Lectures and Working Group Topics:
• Implementing the requirements of ISO/IEC 17043 by PT/EQA Providers
• Accrediting PT/EQA Providers to ISO/IEC 17043
• Establishing acceptability criteria in microbiology PT/EQA schemes ria in microbiology PT/EQA schemes
• Evaluating participant performance in qualitative PT/EQA schemes
• Establishing PT/EQA schemes in developing countries
• Pre and post analytical aspects in EQA

Registration:
Delegates may either register on-line or by submitting a registration form which is available on the workshop website. The registration fee includes a book of abstracts, lunches, coffee breaks, welcome cocktail party and workshop dinner. A discount will be given for early registration. The fee will be invoiced together with a letter of confirmation. Registration fees and important dates are as follows:
